For those new to the concept of Baby Sign Language, it is basically a method of using natural and simple signs with babies as a means of early communication, to decrease their frustration and enable them to share their world with us.
The concept first became known - with worldwide acclaim – when Drs. Linda Acredolo & Susan Goodwyn released their book, “How to Talk to Your Baby Before Your Baby Can Talk“.
Their book and their ten years of research; started a worldwide movement which has helped families around the world to communicate with their babies before they can talk. The work of Drs. Acredolo and Goodwyn has been so successful, many have replicated their work, however the Baby Signs program remains the world’s original, best and the only program with proven results.

I am a nursery teacher working in a room licensed for 9 under two children. I use baby sign language with my non speaking babies and toddlers they have responded well to this. However I only know a few signs – water, more, thank you and finishde. I would love to be able to use some of this information with my families so if you have any information that can be used in my classroom it would be greatly received.
